Mini Boohoo Haul!

Hey!

I'm going to Iceland in May; so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to buy some new clothes! (Although I really should be on a no buy as I've run out of money and only got paid last week, like I have money for bills and saved some for Iceland but that's it, I am really terrible when it comes to money!)

The items mentioned in this post are:

Technically I didn't buy these recently, I bought them in November of last year but they didn't actually fit until last week (yay for losing a stone!). But I am obsessed with these, they are so comfortable and easy to pair. I've never been a lover of jeans, I've only ever owned a pair of black skinny ones, but I've fallen in love with them and hope this means I can start buying more jeans without hating the way I look in them.

Another pair of jeans that I have fallen in love with! The dark denim is just so beautiful and I love all of the embroidered writing. Although I didn't notice the writing at the bottom of the legs until it arrived but it made them so much better. I cannot wait to wear these and pair them with some of my clothes (I did try them on with the pink jumper underneath and they looked amazing!).

I love jumpers and love crop tops, so this was just a must! I'm so in love with this, its super comfortable and looks so great on! The colour is so amazing and puts me in a little bit more of a spring mood, I can see it becoming a staple piece of clothing in my wardrobe.

Ok, I'm not going to lie...I'm kind of very disappointed with this. I was so excited to buy a mustard coloured jumper as I am so obsessed with the colour recently but it just seemed so different from the picture. The material is really flimsy and just doesn't hold its shape and the roll neck doesn't stay and kind of bunches without making a true roll neck. I'm looking forward to trying to style this so that it works for me but I am still looking for that perfect mustard jumper!

I hope that you enjoyed this post and will come back for my next one!

"Life Is Better When You're Laughing"

Hey! Thought I'd throw a TV post in as it is the love of my life; so today I'll be talking about a few of my favourite comedy shows. (I am excluding Friends from this post, although it is the best thing ever, because you'll get bored of how much I mention it within my life). So lets get on with it...

The Mindy Project

I honestly can't even find the right words to explain how much I love this show. It focuses on an office of Ob/Gyn's; mainly Mindy Lahiri (played by Mindy Kaling) who is basically what I feel like I'm growing up to be like (apart from the doctor part....not smart enough for that). It gave me a new found love for Mindy Kaling and Chris Messina...like it took me 16 years of my life to know these perfect people exist. The day Fox made the idiotic decision to cancel it literally broke my heart, luckily Hulu swooped in and saved it (although its not international so I barely get to watch it anymore). Just please give this a try because it definitely has brightened up my life so much!

 New Girl

This focuses on Jess Day's (played by Zooey Deschanel) life after moving in with three men she has never met. I'm aware that description made it seem quite sinister but it is just one of the greatest things ever. The originality of each character and the actors who play them are a massive contributing factor to its success. It is something you watch and instantly fall in love with the dynamic of the show and the characters lives. It brightens my day whenever I watch it and I'm just in love with Nick and Jess...like please get back together soon (also fully in love with Nick Miller).

 Ugly Betty

I know this show was more drama than comedy but it had to be included on the list as it holds a very special place in my heart. It was the first series that I truly fell in love with and Betty Suarez became someone I looked up to (and looked like when I had my braces and glasses at the same time), but America Ferrera will forever be my favourite person. It focuses on Betty when starting work at MODE magazine and her struggles as she isn't the 'norm' for a fashion magazine. Her courage and determination not to let anyone define her made the show as amazing as it was and made Betty the perfect role model (literally if I had money to I would fund a reunion because it needs to happen!)

 Superstore

Another America Ferrera show...can you blame me? I freaking love this! It focuses on the employees at a massive chain store, and as someone who works at a supermarket this show is just hilarious with how it portrays life working there. It is just so funny and the characters are so great, its just the perfect light comedy everybody needs to see!

 The Office US

I started watching this after watching The Mindy Project as Mindy Kaling was in it and instantly fell in love! It focuses on the employees at a fictional paper company called Dunder Mifflin. I don't know if it is something everybody will love as I am forever re watching it and laughing as hard as the first time but my brother kindly tells me its 'weird' and he 'doesn't like how the camera is' but I would definitely say give it a try because its something everyone needs to see (and it features the best love story of all time, prepare to be insanely invested in the fictional lives of Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly).

 Young & Hungry

I've loved Emily Osment since she played Lily in Hannah Montana (and you're lying if you say you haven't) so when I found out she had a new show I just knew I had to watch it and I'm so glad I did! It focuses on Gabi, a food blogger who is hired by a wealthy tech entrepreneur Josh to be his personal chef. The characters are all individually amazing and it is super funny, my only problem is that I ship Josh and Gabi so much but all they seem to do is break up and get back together and if I'm honest it's kind of getting boring now (I hate feeling like this).

 How I Met Your Mother

I was so obsessed with this for the longest time! But it truly was something so amazing and unique, a constant guessing game that had you needing more. It introduced me to all of the actors as I had no idea who they were before this and I'm eternally grateful for that. It focuses on Ted who is telling his children the story of how he met their mother through a series of flashbacks. There was a lot of controversy over the ending of this show which is something I cannot pick a side on; from the beginning I loved Ted and Robin together and truly thought she would be the mother (stupid of me I know) but then Barney and Robin happened and I was obsessed like utterly obsessed, then the show ended with Ted and Robin being endgame and I wasn't angry but I'd definitely rather watch Barney and Robin's love story unfold all over again.

 2 Broke Girls

I haven't watched this in the longest time and I'm so angry at myself for it because its just amazing! This show made me fall in love with Kat Dennings, everything shes been in is great! It focuses on 2 women, Max and Caroline who are working at a diner trying to get their cupcake business up and running while trying to raise the cash for it. Its hilarious and rude and just makes looking broke in New York a lot more glamorous than it probably is. I would definitely recommend it.

 Awkward

I'm re-watching this right now for the third time and it just never gets old! It focuses on Jenna and her life, friendships and relationships throughout high school and college. It started when I was 14 and it was such a great show to grow up with as it could be quite relatable and at times dealt with serious subjects while adding that bit of humour. Also Matty Mckibben...what an amazing character, I literally lived for every Matty and Jenna scene.

 Faking It

The biggest mistake ever was this show being cancelled, it dealt with so many important subjects in such a positive way, helped and informed people on certain topics. It focuses on two best friends Amy and Karma, who fake being lesbians for attention, which ends in Amy actually falling for her best friend. The cast were all amazing and I was left hooked with every episode, watching them grow throughout the show was amazing.

 Don't Trust the B

I never watched this when it aired but I recently found it on Netflix and was just obsessed! It focuses on June who moves to New York and moves in with party girl Chloe and they form an unlikely friendship. I just love this, I'm like envious of Chloe's life and James Van Der Beek is amazing as himself in this. It's hilarious and such a feel good show and definitely got cancelled way before it should have, you must watch it because it's just so great.

I hope you enjoyed this post and come back for my next one. I really recommend all these shows and hope you watch at least one! Do you have any recommendations for me? I'd love to know!

My Recent Music Favourites

Hey!

I thought today's post could give you some insight into my recent favourite songs. I don't really have much to say about them apart from the fact they're amazing, so this will be a very short post.

So I hope you enjoyed this very minuscule post and will come back for my next one! I'd definitely recommend all of these songs as they are my ultimate favourites right now!

Sainsbury's Haul!

Hey! I thought today's post could be a haul and more specifically a Sainsbury's haul...a pretty weird place to haul I know. But I work there so a lot of the time after work I walk around a buy plenty of things that I most likely don't need but always end up getting anyway!

I am obsessed with magazines recently but they can be quite pricey and after my trip to Brighton this month I'm a little bit poor so I picked up these 3 which were £1 each which is really good! I haven't read them yet but I did flick through and they look pretty interesting. These are the:
Hello Fashion March Magazine
Glamour April Magazine
Cosmopolitan March Magazine

I picked up the book How Not To Fall In Love Actually by Catherine Bennetto purely because the bright yellow cover drew me in! I picked it up and read the back and it sounded pretty good and something I'd enjoy; I've also been trying to get back into reading and hopefully this will help! You can never have too many notebooks so when I saw the 'Just A Little Note' Notebook, I just had to have it because it just looked so nice and compact!

I also got the Batiste Hold Me Hairspray and Batiste Original Dry Shampoo, this is my favourite dry shampoo and probably the only one I'll ever use as I'm so apprehensive about trying new ones. I had never tried the hairspray before but I loved it, I used it when I curled my hair when I went to Brighton and it stayed so well.

I also got the Happy Naturals Argan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Mask, I've been using the shampoo and conditioner recently and am really loving it, it smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling so soft and fresh! I haven't tried the mask yet but I am definitely excited and have high hopes for it.

I got the Happy Jackson Watermelon & Mint Bath Soak mainly because its pink and I love Watermelon but it was such a great buy. I've been using this recently as well and I'm obsessed with it, I was scared the mint would over power the smell of the watermelon but it doesn't and I'm just so in love!

I picked up the Simple Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash which is my new love! I'm so pleased with how well this worked after just one use. I have really oily skin and the day I first used this I was late and didn't finish doing my make up and went out without a setting spray on and was prepared to come home with an oily mess of a face but by the time I got home my face was still so matte and honestly made my day! I'd definitely recommend this if you have oily skin.

A trusted favourite of mine is the Simple Soothing Facial Toner so I thought it would be best to repurchase this as my bottle is getting kind of low.  I also got the Dirty Works 4-in-1 Face Wipes which I haven't actually used yet but have added to my massive pile of face wipes, but I do have high hopes for them as I'm really loving Dirty Works recently.

I also repurchased the Dirty Works Cosmetic Sponge and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent; the cosmetic sponge is basically a cheap beauty blender and although I haven't used the original before I love this and the finish it gives to foundation and concealer. The powder is more of a powder foundation than a setting powder but I feel as if it gives me more coverage when my face is looking oily.

I also got the Maybelline Master Sculpt in 01 Light Medium as I have heard great things about it, so far I'm not head over heels with the contour part but the highlighter is really great; gives a shine but not too glittery!

I bought a couple of things from Sainsbury's own brand Boutique which were the Boutique Bronzer in Chock-A-Block and the Boutique Eye Shadow in Wouldn't Bat an Eyelid. There were two bronzer's in the store but I went for the lighter shade as I'm quite pale but it warms up my face quite well. I haven't used the eye shadow yet but I'm excited to, it is a taupe brown colour which I think would be great for the transition shade.

I was looking for a new foundation which was full coverage as I've become a little spotty recently so I decided to get the L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Foundation in 11 Vanilla, this was the lightest shade they had when I bought it and it seemed to work. It seemed perfect the first time I used it but on the second was when I noticed it had more pink undertones which made me realise I have more yellow as it just looked awful on my face; I managed to fix it and have it match a little more by using my Urban Decay Naked Concealer and Rimmel Stay Matte powder. It's a great foundation but I definitely need to buy a different shade as I have to pair this with a few products to get it to work with my skin.

The greatest things I picked up were the Max Factor Colour Corrector Highlighter and the Max Factor Colour Corrector Corrects Redness. I already have the one for under eye's which I paid £10 for, but when I was shopping I noticed that they were £2, so obviously I had to get them! I haven't tried them yet but looking forward to.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and will come back for my next one! Have you bought anything new that you would recommend? Let me know!

My Favourite Lazy Day Outfit!

Hey! I thought today's post could be all about my favourite lazy day outfit. When I'm at home I either like to make myself look really good and put a full face of make up on (mainly to take selfies) or I'll just throw some comfy clothes on and be lazy.

Today is definitely one of those lazy days; I had to tidy my room this morning so I really couldn't be bothered to do my make up afterwards. I just grabbed some clothes and then realised that it could make a great post.

My outfit consists of some leggings, a t shirt and a hoodie....perfect lazy day attire. I got the t shirt for the Christmas just gone, I don't remember where it was from but I love it! Its like a creamy white cotton shirt which has 7 Starbucks frappuccino's on it and obviously I'm such a typical white girl that I am obsessed with it!

The leggings are plain black with a grey elasticated waistband with the words 'Love' on it, they are from Boohoo and I originally bought them as exercise leggings but the material is quite thin and they are a little big for me so I just tend to wear them around the house now as they are super comfortable.

The hoodie is my literal favourite piece of clothing, it is light grey and I got it from H&M. It is something I always reach for as it is really comfortable and keeps me warm but also is still light enough to not make me over heat as I actually hate being hot...like I'm such a winter person!

I hope you have enjoyed this post and will come back for my next one! I'm also loving this years Red Noses, although I don't plan on wearing them I definitely want to buy more and try and get the whole collection.

My Mug Obsession

Hey! I thought for today's post I could tell you all about my mug obsession; it is something that has got to the point where my mum will literally not allow me to buy anymore because there is just no room in the kitchen for them, as much as I would love more!

If you know me, then you know all I drink is black coffee; so I like to have a mug for every occasion and they can't just be any old mug. I'm also very protective over them so if I ever allow you to drink out of one of them...you're very special!

In the photo above are all of my Starbucks mugs; these are definitely my favourite to drink out of and what I reach for the most. I do love bigger mugs than smaller so the ones on the back left and front right are my all time favourites. I got all of these as Christmas presents and even though some of them have a Christmas vibe to them I do use them at anytime of the year!

Next are my Friends mugs; and if you didn't know I'm freaking obsessed with the TV show Friends...and if you're not then I have no idea why! This is a collection in its self that needs building! I got the massive (and I mean massive!) black one from Warner Bros in Los Angeles; that was about 4 years ago when I went with my school and it is just the greatest thing I've ever bought, unfortunately I don't use it that much as it's huge and normally the coffee gets cold before I've finished drinking it. I got the white one for Christmas one year and I think it was from Primark, I never really used it until recently but its such a great mug to use when binge watching TV and I just love it!

The rest of them are two Justin Bieber mugs and a random purple one. Since I was 13 I have been obsessed with Justin Bieber...but I wont get into that right now! But as much as I rarely use the Justin Bieber mugs, I just cannot get rid of them. As for the purple one, I do not remember where I got it from but I definitely used to be more obsessed with it than I am now.

I hope you enjoyed this post on this look inside my little collection of mugs and will come back for my next post!
