childhood shows

as you know...I love TV! Always have always will...so I thought I'd make a post about my favourite childhood TV shows. (They're in no particular order because that would've taken me way too long to decide!)

so first is
1. The Story Of Tracy Beaker
For those of you who don't know this show, it is based on a book by Jaqueline Wilson, and focuses on the life of a young girl called Tracy Beaker and what her life is like in a children's home.
I have been watching this show for as long as I can remember and I think it is a great show for young people to watch as it shows that the world isn't perfect and children do end up in these homes (although they are probably not as nice as they are shown in the show). I am so glad I was able to watch this because it was such a great show and the spin offs were great aswell!

2. The Sleepover Club
I have briefly mentioned The Sleepover Club in a previous post, this show is about 5 best friends who together make up 'the sleepover club' and they take turns with each person hosting a sleepover each weekend. I haven't watched this in forever, but it was the start of my obsession with Australian shows...I don't know what it is about them but I really enjoy them!

3. Zoey 101
Who didn't love this show?! It was all about Zoey, who goes to a boarding school called Pacific Coast Academy (everybody's dream school may I add) and basically her everyday life there.
This was probably the best show that Nickelodeon has made, the characters, the storylines and the locations were just amazing! Everybody who watched it definitely grew up wishing they could go to PCA (I know I did!)

4. H20: Just Add Water
Well..just by looking at the picture you can probably guess what this is about..but to be specific it's about 3 girls who after being in a hidden moon pool on a mysterious island, at the same time there was a full moon overhead, wake up with mermaid tails that appear when they touch water and have powers that control water. I have also mentioned in a previous post that I love fairytales..and I guess you could count mermaids as that which makes this one of my favourites!

5. Hannah Montana
This is all about Miley Stewart living a double life as pop sensation Hannah Montana...and how nobody realised is beyond me. I remember when I first saw an advert for this and thought it would be rubbish when in reality I became hooked and to this day Miley Cyrus is my all time favourite (she does no wrong in my eyes...people seriously need to realise she's grown up and is no longer Hannah Montana..who in fact is fictional!!).

6. Wizards of Waverly Place
One of my all time favourite Disney Channel shows is Wizards of Waverly Place which is about a family of Wizards! It was just so original and is where I became a fan of Selens Gomez because she played Alex so well, also Alex and Harper were everyone's best friend goals...even towards the end it proved how well it could be!

7. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody
This was pretty much the highlight of my childhood and just made me wish I could live in a hotel!! All the main characters were just so fab and individual which made it such an easy show to watch and enjoy. I also loved Suite Life on Deck as you got to see the characters when they were a little older, and the ending when London was saying how much she would miss Mr Moseby was just the saddest thing!

8. Blue Water High
This is just another example of an amazing Australian show! This was all about the lives of a group of young surfers at a surfing academy. This show just makes me want to try surfing (I also need to improve my swimming skills before trying to surf) as they make it look so easy..which I know it's not! It is also just so entertaining, and mostly shot on beaches which is a great thing to watch!

9. Dance Academy
The last of my favourite Australian shows, which focuses on the main character Tara at the National Academy of Dance...she does mainly ballet, I loved watching that as it was pretty interesting. This show touched on quite tough subjects but showed them in such a great way, these storylines include eating disorders and a sudden death..(sammy's death was the worst thing ever...like ever)

10. Wolfblood
Although this is a list of my favourite childhood shows...this came out in 2012 and I still watch it, but I added it onto the list as its shown on CBBC and I guess you could count it as a children's show, and I just love it! It's all about 'wolfbloods' not really werewolves but they do turn into wolves on a full moon. I just love fairytales/mythical creatures so this is why this is one of my favourites!

TV life over personal life..

hello there

I honestly don't have much to post about...I am really just posting this because I know that one person is waiting for me to post something...and that person is my mum!

She recently found my blog and has become obsessively interested in it, and keeps asking me to post something else, so hello mum!

Nothing interesting has happened in my personal life...but in my TV life, well that's another story!

First lets talk about House, as that is what I'm (kind of) binge watching at the moment...the reason I have added kind of in that sentence is because I am finding it extremely hard to watch now that Chase and Cameron have broken up! The last episode I watched was when Chase signed the divorce papers..which also happened to be Jennifer Morrison's last episode before the finale..but once I do finish the whole thing I shall definitely be doing a big post about it!

Another show I am obsessed with at the moment is 12 Monkeys (have you heard of it??) I doubt a lot of people know about it as I found it on syfy (also the channel I found Haven) which I think is a pretty underrated channel but they show some amazing things! To put it simple it is about Cole a man from 2043 travelling back in time to stop a virus that kills like the majority of the world (before it actually kills them). Which I totally think you should watch...

oh and another thing...I haven't actually watched it yet (it can be a job for tomorrow) but Atlantis is back!! I didn't even realise until yesterday, so I have two episodes to catch up on but I am so excited because Ariadne finally admitted her feelings for Jason!

any other once upon a time fans??? because wow Marian was Zelena the entire time??? like that honestly shocked me so much! I so wanted Regina and Robin together, but it was Zelena just ruining everything!!!! And Lily (Emma's friend from when she was young) is Maleficents daughter! I just knew she would special to the story somehow!!!

oh one last thing it isn't actually a show but a film. I went to see The Duff last week, which was just so so amazing...do you know when you watch a trailer and it looks so good you think it can't get better? This film got so much better!! So much comedy and so much romance, just the perfect film really!

well that's good bye for now!

hey, havent I seen you somewhere before?

Is it just me or do you also love seeing actors/actresses from films/TV shows you watched when you were younger in what you're watching now? Because for me I absolutely love it! Especially when it is a completely different role..because I'm so used to seeing them as one character, when I see them in something else it makes me think of the previous character in this new role!

Some examples of my favourite 'oh I know you' are:

1. Eliza Taylor (The sleepover club-The 100)
Eliza Taylor played Rosie Cartwright in The Sleepover Club and now plays Clarke Griffin in The 100.

When I was younger the sleepover club was my favourite thing (australian shows have always been my thing,as you'll be able to tell by a few of these)..just the thought of having best friends like this where we would have a sleepover club is something I always wanted! The 100 has become one of my favourite shows right now! Now I'm all older..I have a certain love for books/TV shows/films about dystopian worlds..I don't know what it is..they just intrigue me! The fact that actress who played one of my favourite characters when I was younger is now the lead in this..is just fab! When I first saw the advert for the 100..you heard her voice before actually seeing who it was, and I just knew I knew her! so once I saw her I just knew I had to watch it. Which I am so glad about because it just gets better and better with every episode!

2. Hilary Duff(Lizzie McGuire-Two and a Half Men)

Hilary Duff played Lizzie McGuire in the self titled show and played Stacey in Two and a Half Men(not a major role).

I have always loved Hilary Duff! The first thing I ever saw her in was Lizzie McGuire, which I used to watch with my mum all the time! It was such a good show (old school Disney was the best) and after loving her in that I went on to watch her in other stuff such as; A Cinderella Story, The Perfect Man, Raise Your Voice, Stay Cool, Beauty and a Briefcase and most recently Two and a Half Men! She didn't have a major role, but it was so good to see her in something as she hadn't been in anything in such a long time!

3. Emily Osment (Hannah Montana-Young & Hungry)

Emily Osment played Lily Truscott in Hannah Montana and now plays Gabi Diamond in Young & Hungry!

I can't be the only one who loved Hannah Montana?? Lily was literally best friend goals! I definitely think Emily's acting is what made Lily the best..because Gabi is even better!! Having an actress from my ultimate favourite show being in something that is making my heart skip a beat (will Gabi ever know how Josh feels?!?!) is something that makes me very very happy!

4. Phoebe Tonkin (H20: Just Add Water-The Vampire Diaries/The Originals)

Phoebe Tonkin played Cleo Sertori in H20: Just Add Water and now plays Hayley Marshall in The Originals!

A show about mermaids..what more could you want?? (another of my fave Australian shows) I won't even pretend like I only watched this when I was younger...because I own all 3 seasons on dvd and will happily watch it whenever (I also binged on the spin off Mako Mermaids on Netflix) I love Australia and mermaids..so the perfect show really! Cleo was my favourite character...she was just sweet, funny and a little bit stupid but that's what made her a great character! So seeing Phoebe in The Orginals is amazing! especially as she is playing a werewolf (well technically a hybrid now) it just shows that's she's a great actress...and also very good at playing mythical creatures!

5. Luke Mitchell (H20: Just Add Water-Home and Away-The Tomorrow People)

Luke Mitchell played Will Benjamin in H20: Just Add Water, Romeo Smith in Home and Away and John Young in The Tomorrow People!

Luke Mitchell is my absolute fave! I first saw him on H20: Just Add Water and just fell in love!! He was the reason I started watching Home and Away(thank you for that!)...so when Romeo's cancer storyline hit and he died..it just killed me! Not seeing him acting was just going to be weird! But then The Tomorrow People came out...and I was just beyond thrilled to finally have him back on my TV!! (The fact it was cancelled after the first season was terrible...it just wasn't given enough time to prove how good it was!!) I saw that he has a role in the second season of Agents of Shield..so I'm going to have to start watching that!!

6. Claire Holt (H20: Just Add Water-Mean Girls 2-Pretty Little Liars-The Vampire Diaries/ The Originals)

Claire Holt played Emma Gilbert in H20: Just Add Water, Chastity Meyer in Mean Girls 2, Samara Cook in Pretty Little Liars and Rebekah Mikaelson in The Vampire Diares/ The Originals!

Another and the last from H20: Just Add Water...can you tell it's one of my favourites? Claire Holt is definitely one of my favourites..each character I have seen her play have been so different and she has pulled it off so well...I won't tell you how long it took me before I realised it was her in Mean Girls 2!! The fact that she has been in some of my favourite shows is the best, I just love watching her! I wish she had more screen time in Pretty Little Liars because I would've loved to see more from that character!

7. Thomas McDonnel (Prom-The 100)

Thomas McDonnel played Jesse Richter in Prom and Finn Collins in The 100.

hahaha let's start off with the fact I am still not over the 100 killing off Finn...which is why I thought a screen cap of his last words would be appropriate because he was the best! Also pretty much the opposite of Jesse from Prom...he started off sweet..up until the point he massacred a load of people looking for Clarke(but cmon he was looking for the one he loved)...and Jesse started off rude(not massacring tho) and ended up sweet.

8. Alexa Pena Vega (Spy Kids-The Tomorrow People)

Alexa Pena Vega played Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids and Hillary Cole in The Tomorrow People!

When you were younger you just wanted to be a spy kid (not the weird copycat ones that were in the film..but like Carmen and Juni) or was that just me? I have been obsessed with these films for so long..they are just so entertaining! The Tomorrow People became one of my obsessions in 2014..and finding out the girl who played Hillary was a spy kid was just amazing...she easily became one of my favourite characters and when she blew herself up to save Stephen I swear I cried for so long!

9. Aaron Taylor Johnson (Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging-The Avengers: Age Of Ultron)
Aaron Taylor Johnson played Robbie in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and plays Quicksilver in The Avengers!

You're lying if you tell me Aaron Taylor Johnson wasn't your obsession during 2008/2009...Robbie was the dream boyfriend!! but I must admit he went a bit dodge when he dyed his hair blonde and grew that weird moustache (sorry but he did)...so to find out that he is going to be in something coming out soon and looks so freaking gorgeous just makes me so so excited!! Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging is one of my favourite films...and I love the Avengers so I cannot wait to see him in it!!

They are just a few of the people who have been in multiple things I have watched and are the main people I have freaked out about...I'm sure there are plenty more that I haven't thought of..so if I ever think of them again I shall be sure to make a part 2 to this post..

(none of the pictures are mine...just got them off of google)

a (few) day(s) in the life of me

I have officially finished sixth form..which means my life now pretty much revolves around Netflix...and the occasional shift at work!!

After pretty much 7 years at the same school...I am beyond thrilled to have left! By the time it got to my last few weeks I was just so tired of having to go there with all those children...like I just don't understand how they are so loud??

The only problem is I still find myself waking up at 6am...no matter how late I stay up! I guess a good thing about having more time to do nothing is I can try and update this more (that's if I can actually think of anything to write).

so what's happened to me since I last posted?? Well it was the season 5 finale of pretty little liars which was beyond amazing! But I won't go into too much detail as that can be a separate post!

I've started (well already on season 5) watching House M.D on Netflix and I surprisingly love it! I'm not one for hospital shows..mainly because I squirm at the sight of blood..which means I spend a lot of my time watching with my eyes closed, but I'm starting to handle actually watching some surgery scenes!

Since watching this show I have completely become a Chameron shipper! At the beginning I thought there could be something between House and Cameron but since Chase and Cameron started up I just fell for them! And then the whole 'it's Tuesday' was the cutest thing...and the way Cameron used the line in the season 3 finale was just amazing...I'm just super sad that they barely have any scenes in the fourth season...their relationship was built up and then it has just fallen because there are barely any scenes between them!

Another thing to do with Jennifer Morrison is...Netflix has put up once upon a time, and is updating it weekly! It's honestly the best news I've received in a while..if you haven't watched it then oh my god you need to start! As I've said in a post before I said that I love fairytales and this show just pulls the fairytale and reality together so well. Also Colin O'Donoghue makes the best Captain Hook!! (a character who has alway scared me must I add)

Another thing that happened this week was I went to see Mcbusted at the O2! As an 18 year old British girl..Mcfly and Busted (primarily Mcfly) were the highlight of my childhood, so having them perform as a supergroup is just amazing. Here's some photos from the night:
I had to stop taking photos before the end of the night because I didn't want my phone's battery to die...
That's all from me so far...I'll try and post soon!
