FrAmed

so it's the eight week in my week by week recap of Pretty Little Liars, and we are so close to coming fAce to face with A! are you excited? I can just about contain my excitement!!

This weeks episode starts off with all 5 girls, Alison, Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna sitting in Aria's living room, the news is talking about Charles Dilaurentis. Spencer then says that the police could do an age progression on Charles from the videos of when he was young (which is a really good idea!). Ali is telling the girls about the day in the video from the end of the last episode and how Charles cried when he had to go back to Radley (like what made him go from that to A?!) Hanna then snaps at Ali, saying how they shouldn't feel sorry for A after everything thing he has done...and it that moment I am so proud of Hanna sticking up for herself and how much she has grown into a stronger person!

Hanna and her mum are then going to see Mr Dilaurentis to talk about the cheque, but the office is surrounded by news cameras.
At the Brew, Aria and Clark are talking while Ezra is trying to secretly listen. Clark seems to be asking a lot of questions about A. Once Clark leaves, Ezra and Aria start talking..Ezra is obviously suspicious of Clark for asking so many questions, he is so protective I just want them back together already! (seriously there are only two episodes left until the time jump..pll writers please don't make me wait for Ezria to get back together after the 4 years!!!)
Ali and Lorenzo are at his place, I don't know if I find them cute or not?? Ali is super sad that she doesn't know anything about Charles.
Spencer and Hanna are at Spencer's trying to connect the Carrissimi Group to Charles.
Aria, Ella and Tanner are at the Montgomery's and Tanner tells Aria that she would be happy to have police officers at the art gallery so that she would actually be able to go!

A is then seen watching the art gallery's security camera, when a buzzer goes off, he presses a button and let's someone in...that someone was Red Coat! (welcome back!)
Aria and Emily are in Aria's room choosing dresses for the art gallery and talking about prom. Aria asks if Emily will go with her as friends but Emily turns her down as she wants to go with Sara.
Spencer and Hanna then go to the Carrissimi Group, Hanna is convinced that someone is watching and listening and just as she throws paper at Spencer, Rhys (who looks an awful lot like Jason) walks in.
Lorenzo is then telling Ali what he knows about what Mr Dilaurentis is telling Tanner about A, which is not a lot but they are starting to piece things together.
Aria and Emily are then talking about Sara and who Aria could ask to prom (Ezra???) but she decides to go alone.
Spencer and Hanna are still at the Carrissimi Group, and while Rhys is telling them that he works for some discreet person Hanna sneakily takes a photo of him to show Aria and Emily.
Ali leaves Lorenzo's place with his police pass while he is sleeping (conniving Ali back?)

At the Art Gallery, Hanna and Spencer show Emily the photo of Rhys and she totally thinks it's Jason!
Then Aria is telling Ezra that she didn't think he'd be there and he was like 'why would I miss this' like my babies are cute! Aria then asks him to go to prom with her, which he doesn't actually give her a yes or no and then Nicole comes over and Aria seems upset.
Aria then goes to talk to Clark, she is talking about his family and the way he is talking and his face just makes him seem super sketchy!
The photos are then unveiled and in this moment I felt so bad for Aria, because A has swapped the photos and put up the pictures of the four girls in the dollhouse before they woke up from being drugged, after seeing the photos, the camera shows each of the girls having flashbacks.
The photos are then taped of by the police, A is messing with Tanner and Aria's mum literally goes off on one and seriously it is the most I have seen her care since the show began!

Ali is in the police station (somehow unnoticed).
The police are taking the photos of the girls from the gallery as evidence, then Hanna, Spencer and Emily spot Rhys across the road and decide to follow him.
Ali then goes into the evidence room and is looking around at everything the police have on Charles when Tanner walks in.
Emily, Spencer and Hanna watch Rhys go into some abandoned place.
Tanner is talking to Ali about Charles and implied that they are going to kill Charles when he is found.
Outside the gallery Ezra tells Aria that he wasn't on a date with Nicole and that he might do habitat for humanity. Aria is then telling Ezra about when she woke up on that metal table in the dollhouse (I need them together okay).
Spencer, Hanna and Emily are still outside the abandoned place when Clark shows up and walks in.

Ali is back at Lorenzo's, he totally pissed at Ali for what she did and she is totally going back to her old self because she is so not sorry for what she done!
Aria's mum goes to talk to Hanna's mum and she starts crying about what's happening to the girls. We then see Red Coat looking in on them, and this scene reminded me of the end scene of 6x03 when A was looking into the Dilaurentis', could Red Coat be Mrs Marin's daughter? Hanna's secret twin? Maybe A and Red Coat have similar motives? Both not wanted by their families?
Spencer, Hanna and Emily go to Aria's to tell her that they saw Clark.
Tanner is watching the security footage of the art gallery and sees the back of the head of the person who switched the photos (and they look a lot like Jason!)

A is then seen with a load of stuff in the boot of a limo, there is a tuxedo, duct tape, rope and is then seen putting 6 needles (full of something) in there too. When A gets into the limo, Red Coat is driving and gives A two tickets to Rosewood High School prom.

The Fletcher girls can write!

So I recently just finished reading All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher and Dream A Little Dream by Giovanna Fletcher and they were both amazing so I thought I'd write about them!

ALL I KNOW NOW BY CARRIE HOPE FLETCHER.

All I Know Now was pretty much a guide to your teenage years. But it was actually so much more than that! As a 19 year old who is scarily approaching the end of her teenage years, I didn't need a guide, but this book was just so relatable and was so reassuring to know that things didn't happen to just me!

One thing I related to quite well was starting a secondary school late, in year 7 I spent 4 months (September to December) in one school before moving house and starting a completely new school in a completely new area in January.

Starting school, especially in year 7 that late was actually quite an awkward place to be because everyone had just established their new friend groups and honestly didn't want anyone new. It's actually a funny story really, when I first started I had to 'shadow' this girl (who is now my best friend) but we haven't been friends all those years..only since we were about 15/16 because in year 7 her other friends didn't want another new person in their group so she ditched me! (which I constantly remind her of!

For my whole secondary school life I went through so many friend groups mainly because the first one I made was the only one that wanted me at the time (sounds super sad I know). One thing I was lucky with at school was that I was never bullied (I know a lot of people are nowadays), but it was never a case of because so many people liked me, it was mainly because I was so invisible I'm pretty sure half of my year at school didn't even know I existed! (which is honestly fine by me!)

But I definitely recommend this book, whether you are about to start secondary, freaking out over your dreaded 'teenage years', or you have passed them and just need reassuring that certain things didn't happen to just you!

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM BY GIOVANNA FLETCHER

I have read all of Giovanna's books so I had such high hopes for Dream A Little Dream and it exceeded my expectations by so much!

It is about Sarah who randomly starts dreaming of someone from her past only for him to reappear in her real life.

I am such a sucker for a good love story (mainly because that is a major thing that has always been lacking in my life) and this just made me feel so happy..Dream Brett, Real Brett. They were both insanely cute! When one book can make me laugh, cry and smile like an idiot you know it's a good one!

There were so many amazingly written parts, from Dan breaking up with Sarah, Carly losing her baby, The Christmas party to Sarah quitting her job. These were quite touchy subjects, obviously some worse than others. But these involved things that would be hard for people to deal with and I think Giovanna wrote them beautifully. I also think we got to see Sarah grow a lot from when Dan broke up with her to her quitting her job. My favourite thing in any book/TV show/movie is character development (if it's done right) and this was definitely right!

This is 100% one to add to your reading list! If you've read Giovanna's other books, you must read this! If you've never read one of Giovanna's books, you should definitely indulge in them! You will come out of them with a big grin on your face (after a few tears I must admit!)

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou

yay it's this time of the week again! Pretty Little Liars recap, and we are so close to finally finding out who A is! I don't even know how I'm going to manage to stay sane in these next few weeks, I'm just so excited!!

This weeks episode starts off with Spencer and Aria in Aria's living room trying to phone Ali who isn't answering, they are also looking up micro chips and how to remove them.
Mr Dilaurentis is then seen in the middle of the night putting two suitcases in the boot of his car and driving Ali away, when Ali finds the card Charles sent and realises he is alive.
Hanna's mum gives her a letter which is revealed to be a $30,000 cheque for her college tuition, which her mum said she applied for when she was in the dollhouse, which was cute because she didn't know if she would ever see her again but she still had to make sure she would have a good future.
Emily then sees Sara's friend Claire in The Brew who was looking for Sara and Emily is being what looks like to me, very defensive.
Toby is back! Which obviously leads to a cute Spoby scene, where Toby is being very protective and making sure Spencer is being 100% honest, 'we don't do secrets' why can't the boyfriends know about A??

Mona, Hanna, Aria and Spencer are all in Mona's room, where Lesli hasn't shown. Hanna is being so sarcastic and sassy showing that she is completely done with everything. Aria is messing about with Mona's dolls because they are creeping her out, and Mona is sticking up for Lesli saying she truly doesn't know anything.
Emily and Sara are in Emily's room talking about Claire which leads to talking about their kiss and I don't know if it's just me but Sara really reminds me of a puppy (have I said this before?)
Lorenzo then goes over to the Dilaurentis' house looking for Ali but Jason turns him away saying she's gone away. Once he is gone he goes over to a red balloon that is on his porch, which turns out to be a birthday invitation from Charles, saying he has to meet him alone.
Aria is then in her bedroom sorting out her dolls, when Mike comes in asking if she had told Mona not to talk to him, when Aria tells him she didn't he tells her that Mona won't speak to him and he just looks so sad, like pretty much on the verge of crying.

Emily, Sara and Claire are at some dessert place, which is just super awkward as Emily just seems like she's really jealous.
Hanna and Spencer are at The Brew looking up the people that gave Hanna her college money and find out they are the people that closed down Radley.
Sara and Claire are catching up talking about old things and I loved this scene because it was honestly just so nice to see Sara genuinely happy.
Sabrina puts some weed gummy bears in Spencer's bag while she is on the phone to Ali who tells her that her dad took her to a hotel and that he took everything away from her.
Sara tells Emily that she is going to stay at Claire's, which would be easier for them to go on a proper date and then they kiss (and as a quite new Emison shipper, this hurts quite a bit).

Aria, Hanna and Spencer go to the Dilaurentis' house to speak to Jason but he won't answer to them.
Mike is seen waiting in Mona's bedroom, when she arrives she tells him that she doesn't want to see him. She is just hating herself for what she done and what she put him through and he is trying to justify it to make her feel better. 'All that matter is that you're alive' like seriously I was crying by this point!
Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are at Spencer's talking about how Hanna put a tracker on Jason's car so they can follow him. But they have to remove their trackers first which Hanna and Spencer have decided to do themselves because they have been studying videos on the Internet (this sounds like it will go well) like Hanna and Spencer at times are just the best!
Spencer then tells Toby everything so he can be their back up (does that mean Caleb and Ezra can know now please?!).
Mike and Mona finally kiss! This is honestly one of my favourite scenes this season, I have literally been waiting for that reunion for nearly a whole season!
Spencer and Toby are then arguing over who's going to follow Jason, the girls have all removed their trackers (and only Hanna's is bleeding). Toby then takes Spencer's weed gummy bears (not knowing what they are) which definitely will not end well!

Ali then drugs her dad with sleeping tablets, which seems to be her way of doing things (flashback to 'that night').
Toby is eating way too many of the gummy bears, and then convinces Lorenzo to go with him to follow Jason. The girls decide to go and follow aswell.
Jason is then seen arriving at the address, not longer after Charles arrives checking the girls trackers.
Ali is seen getting into a car and thanking whoever the driver is, who turns out to be Mona.

Jason in the arcade, his dad rings him but he ignores him, he stars calling out for Charlie (when Charles is called Charlie it makes is sadder for me because Charlie seems like more of a child's name and just gives me so many feels).
Ali then calls the police and tells them that Charles is A, which is probably the stupidest thing she's done since faking her death.
The police then arrive at the Dilaurentis' house, and find the balloon and invite.
Jason sees Charles (hoodie not face..not quite yet) when Toby and Lorenzo come barging in, ruining everything. Charles looks scared. Toby is high as hell. The girls then arrive. Jason is super pissed at Spencer and then the Police arrive.

Hanna and her mum come home arguing over the fact she is trying to find Charles.
Aria is in her room crying, Mike comes in to tell her that him and Mona are working things out and that she really is brave. He then gives her a letter.
Then honestly the saddest Spoby scene since Spencer thought Toby was the body she found (in my opinion), Spencer is apologising for him taking those gummy bears and that she didn't know they were there, she's crying and Toby tells her to leave and he just looks so messed up.
Aria opens her letter and finds out she is a finalist for the art thing she applied for.
Emily goes home, visibly missing Sara and then smashes her tracker.

Jason is in his living room pouring scotch (at this part I'm shouting 'no don't do it' at my TV) about to ruin his sobriety when Ali comes in trying to stop him, they then hear a little boy shout 'Jason, Jason come play with me'.
They find a video playing of Jason, Ali and Charles (who they think is their 2nd cousin Freddy(ie)), they were at the arcade for Charles' birthday and they weren't allowed to tell their dad. Charles comes closer to the camera and asks Mrs D when he has to go back (to Radley). To me Charles does not look like he belongs in Radley he seems too sweet, I'm scared that Mr D just never wanted him and he was never crazy before he went there but being in Radley turned him crazy.

A then gets a present from someone with a note saying 'Happy Birthday! -your friend and ally' and when A opens it up it is a painting of the day they are at the arcade. Which seems like someone other than Charles, Jason, Ali and Mrs D knew about that day. Could it be red coat?

No Stone Unturned

yay so after like a 2 week hiatus, Pretty Little Liars is back! Which means my week by week recap is back!

This weeks episode starts off with a conversation between Emily and Spencer, with Spencer being adamant that Lesli is A but Emily thinks it is crazy and is pretty much just shutting her down, Hanna then comes into the room after failing to bring Mona and is the only one that actually seems to want to make a plan to find out whether Lesli is A.
Mr Dilaurentis is then seen turning up home and finding a card on his car, after reading it he is visibly shocked/scared, he is then starts asking Emily, in a very shouty tone of voice, whether she had seen anyone near his car.
Aria is then seen putting Clarks negatives back when he walks in and as she was about to explain he said that he understands that she didn't want her photos taken and hands her the negatives, which was pretty sweet!
Hanna is then in her kitchen searching for Lesli when Caleb comes in and Mrs Marin is offering him food, Caleb then asks Hanna what the lump on her neck is (foreshadowing them finding out they're chipped? or playing A games and knowing what it is?) but of course Hanna is just shutting him out and leaves.
Emily is helping Sara choose an outfit for her first day working with Caleb, she then put the cream on Sara's back tattoo and there was a little bit of a moment happening.

Dean then turns up to Spencer's house giving her a book and some brownies, and as much as I love Spoby..Dean is actually pretty cute! I hate seeing Spencer so broken..to me she was always the strongest and now she's finally cracking (well apart from being in Radley).
Hanna is in Philladelphia spying on Lesli while on the phone to Spencer, talking about 'drug free Dean' which is honestly such an amazing nickname!
Caleb and Sara are then working, Caleb makes a reference to Kimye to which Sara replies 'what's Kimye?' which was honestly such a sad moment..I don't know if it's just me but I forgot not only did she miss two years of her life but also two years of everything else. But Caleb is such so so sweet and apologetic. Sara then starts asking him about Ali because she says Emily always shuts down when she asks her.
Hanna then bribes/tricks the valet into giving her Lesli's car, which was honestly such a great performance!

A new character called Nicole (played by Rebecca Breeds..who I am so envious of, like she was in Home and Away..one of my favourite shows! She's married to Luke Mitchell and is now in Pretty Little Liars! she is living the dream!) comes into the brew looking for Emily, Ezra (she knew he was her teacher...I wonder how that conversation came to happen) tells her that she doesn't work there anymore and why she had to change her phone number and email.
Aria and Emily are at the junkyard, Aria starts asking Emily about her and Sara when they bump into Clark, Emily then says about going to meet Nicole so Clark offers to drive Aria home.
Spencer and Hanna are then going through Lesli's car and Hanna snaps at Spencer keeping talking about Caleb, they then find like 10 pairs of fake glasses which is just before they find four 'human size' cages...like crazy or what?
Clark and Aria are then talking about the person who took them and when Aria says the police are close to finding them Clarks first reaction was 'how do you know' and to me that seem so creepy! like maybe I've been watching this show for so long that I suspect everyone but it was definitely creepy!
They split up and are looking around the junkyard when Aria comes across a doll which when she picks it up she finds under its dress it has an A made Aria doll with a knife sticking in its eye.

Emily and Nicole finally see each other again, Emily says she is glad Ezra told her what happened so she wouldn't have to tell it again. Nicole then invites Emily to Thailand to do one of her housing projects.
Spencer and Sara are in Calebs apartment, Sara offers Spencer coffee which she declines, when has Spencer declined coffee??? Sara then weirdly gives Spencer advice to write a speech to give at graduation (I know if that is in one of the upcoming episodes I'll definitley be crying!)
Caleb is in the Brew and picks up a book called 'When Love Goes Toxic' which is just the saddest thing ever! But Mrs Marin sees and tells him that Hanna is still in there and he just needs to find a way to get her out.
Ezra goes over to Aria's house because she left her application to the photo competition at the brew and he even wrote her a recommendation and her line 'who knows me better than you' like god I love them so much! and then Ezra going 'I do have your self portrait above my desk, I did, I mean I did' like c'mon Pretty Little Liars...I need them back together!!!

Spencer gets home to Dean waiting for her, she apologises for missing group and he is saying he was worried and then says they can't see each other because when he is near her he just wants to kiss her and doesn't care that she has a boyfriend! At this moment I was like are they going to kiss?? Spencer??
Caleb is then in Hanna's room and she's moaning at the fact he's there for no reason and he was all like 'I have a reason' and then kisses her and then they totally had sex which was the greatest thing since the Ezria sex scene in season 5!
Emily comes home to Sara who is scrubbing her bedroom floor to get blood out of it (while still bleeding?) and she says she felt like someone was following her and they knocked their car mirror into her.
Spencer, Hanna and Aria are then at the lab Lesli works at. Aria admits that she almost told Ezra about what's going on and that he is the one that 'she turns to' and 'makes her feel safe' and that she hates lying to him...like hello can Ezria please get back together because they are both still clearly in love with each other!
Hanna then starts beeping when she walks past a machine and comes out with the greatest line 'why am I beeping? I haven't even stolen anything yet' like that was such an amazing Hanna line! And then Spencer 'bitch chipped us' like I am so excited to find out who A is..they kidnapped and chipped the girls..and considering we have seen the character before, I don't know anyone that could be THAT crazy!

Nicole and Emily then meet at the Brew and Emily says she can't go to Thailand because Sara won't go and she needs to stay and be there for her. Nicole then asks if Sara has the same feelings for her which Emily denies having.
Hanna is then in a room with a load of caged animals and starts letting them out after having flashbacks of her being locked in the dollhouse and prison.
Spencer and Hanna trying to get the raccoon and rats back in their cage was hilarious, and Hanna not wanting to lose all her food! Then a rats jumps on Aria and I would've had the same reaction to run away..the lights turn off and when there is light again Mona is there!
Mona tells the girls that Lesli isn't A and that she didn't like Bethany. She also said Lesli only knew Charles from when him and Bethany escaped Radley on 'that night' so Charles is still alive and was there on 'that night' so he is either one of the people we saw in a flashback, or someone we haven't seen there before.

Mr Dilaurentis is on the phone, crossing names off a list obviously trying to get in touch with people who worked at Radley to see if Charles is actually dead.
Aria then goes to see Ezra and sees he is with Nicole and you can see she is upset. As much as I want (more like need) Ezria to get back together..I wouldn't mind if Nicole was a potential love interest for Ezra (to figure out he truly loves Aria) as I feel like we always see Ezra getting jealous of people Aria is with and not the other way round!
Emily comes home and Sara is asleep, she then checks her neck to see if Sara had been chipped as well, when she wakes up before Emily can explain what she was doing they end up kissing.
Mr Dilaurentis is then digging up Charles' grave and you see the card saying 'Dear Daddy, coming home for my birthday. You should plan a party to die for. Just you. Love Charles' then A is seen watching from the trees.

'and you're going to be a star without me, that's how much I love you'-Finn Hudson

wow so today is 2 years since Cory Monteith passed away, and I honestly still cannot process what has happened.

I remember that day quite well if I'm honest...I was asleep and my mum came up to tell me that 'the man from glee had died' and in my half asleep brain I just thought she meant one of the older men that just had a cameo...even when she said 'Cory Monteith' my brain didn't process it for a few minutes. Then it did and I just couldn't believe what I was hearing!

I went straight onto the Internet and everything was telling me the exact same, I was just utterly shocked. I must admit I did cry quite a lot for someone who I had never met, just goes to show how much he and glee had impacted on my life.

Glee had been one of my favourite shows from when it began, it had everything I could want...set in an American school and they are forever belting out songs, perfection to me!
Finn Hudson was just the perfect character and Cory just portrayed him so well. His relationship with Rachel was everything you could dream of, and Cory and Lea were even cuter in real life!

I barely watched glee after he died, it really just didn't feel the same to me..I think everyone can say after a few seasons it kind of lost its sparkle and I was honestly just watching it for Cory, the last episode I watched (other than the finale) was the quarterback, and I just think that was such an amazing tribute to him..how everyone managed to stay in character even though every single person in that episode was hurting.

It's honestly such a shame he was taken from us so early, he was such an amazing actor. Rest in peace Cory Monteith.

(photo not mine, just my favourite moment from the tribute episode; the quarterback)

Tuesday 7 July 2015

you know you love me, xoxo Gossip Girl.

I finished watching Gossip Girl! (That was actually like a month ago) but I'm finally getting down to writing about it!

So obviously if you haven't watched Gossip Girl or are in the process of watching, and don't want to know who Gossip Girl is...I suggest you don't read this as I shall be mentioning them!

When I first started I found it extremely hard to write about...I'm not too sure why, so I decided to take the Dan Humphrey approach (the show inspiring me on how to write about the show) but by this I mean writing from the outside looking in, they're around my age and the stuff they do is crazy(like I know it's a TV show, but I'm sure things like this do happen!) I'm pretty sure Serena was only 15 when she was doing cocaine with Georgina and that Pete guy...at the age of 15 all I was doing was obsessing over Justin Bieber!

The first thing I will talk about is the couples, I'm mainly talking about who I loved!

Chuck and Blair

Chuck and Blair are most definitely the best couple out of the entire show! They start off hating each other and their love just grows stronger, no matter what happens they always know they're meant to be together.

Dan and Serena

When I first started the show Dan and Serena were literally my everything...but honestly they kind of just fell apart, im happy they ended up together, but honestly Serena just kind of seemed to think like she could do better than him when Dan was just completely in love with her!

Lily and Rufus

I thought Lily and Rufus were the perfect couple, the fact they used to date when they were younger and the fact they totally still loved each other was the best, and as much as I loved Dan and Serena together, I yearned for Lily and Rufus to get together! I was beyond thrilled when they were married and living happily with everyone, until they broke up, it was like Lily was more in love with the rich life than she was with Rufus and she turned into a complete bitch! 'Where exactly are you going to find some other upper east side woman to take care of you the way I have' I honestly cannot believe that after all the seasons wanting them together, Lily says this one line that makes me hate her so much!

Dan and Blair

I read that Dan and Blair would get together when I first started watching the show and was hell-bent on Dan/Serena and Chuck/Blair, so this idea of them being together was just something I couldn't imagine! Once I finally got up to the part where they start having feelings for each other, I just couldn't believe I loved them so much..they had quite a bit in common and were actually already pretty good friends! I'm glad that Blair ended up with Chuck and Dan with Serena, but I also loved this part of the story!

Although the show was mainly known for the drama and notorious behaviour, I just loved the friendship between some of these 'despicable' people!

Dan and Chuck
At the beginning Dan and Chuck were far from friends, but somehow they kind of grew on each other, and at times they were actually pretty good friends and I loved when they hung out, they were so different but still could get along!

Blair and Serena
Blair and Serena are literally best friend goals! They may have a few arguments but no matter what they are always there for each other, from Blair always looking after Serena when she got too drunk or Serena making sure Blair went to see someone about her bulimia!

Dan and Georgina
These two really are completely different from each other but they make the greatest friends! At the beginning they became friends when Georgina pretended to be called Sarah but by the last season she was the one Dan wanted to help write his book, most likely because he needed her evil streak!

Dan and Blair
Like I said, before Dan and Blair started dating they became pretty good friends, after years of hating each other, and it worked so well!
Their friendship was mainly formed over their love of films and I swear the time they watched the same film over the phone is the day I fell in love with them because that was such so cute!

One of the things that make the show so amazing is the individual characters, putting all these different people together just made for incredible storylines!

Dan Humphrey
Dan starts the show as the guy from Brooklyn who goes to a private school full of teenagers from the upper east side, he is completely different from them and the only thing that really connects them is his relationship with the new and improved 'it girl' Serena Van Der Woodsen.

Throughout the show Dan is seen to be the most caring one, which really is quite true! One of the best scenes in this show is when it is revealed that Dan actually wrote Louis' vows, which showed how much he truly loved and cared for Blair (also how much Louis did not). He became high in my favourite characters towards the end when he was writing his book and not caring about what anybody thought!

One thing I did know when I first started this show, which at first I thought ruined it for me, was that Dan is Gossip Girl! But watching it knowing was actually quite good, because you get to understand things better than if you didn't know who GG was!

Serena Van Der Woodsen
When the show started it was obvious Serena was the main character, it focuses around her return from boarding school, how it's changed her and the impact it had on her friendships.
The main thing that shows her change from the girl who went to boarding school a year earlier is her relationship with Dan and how she embraces his Brooklyn life.

For a while she was my favourite character because she seemed so lovely and down to earth, until she took over gossip girl (after Georgina had her play as GG once Dan had shut it down) because all her posts were just made out of jealousy, making herself look good and putting others down (at least Dan gave himself a rough time too).
Another thing Serena done that made me really hate her was when she tricked Dan into having sex with her so he wouldn't stay with Blair, which was actually a pretty good scene though, because it had legit parallels with the time Serena had sex with Nate when he was with Blair, like total betrayal to her bestfriend!

Chuck Bass
You wouldn't believe how much I hated Chuck at the beginning, considering I'm completely in love with him now! He is the typical rich boy who thinks he can get what he sees. He was completely obnoxious, but the moment my hate for him peaked was when he tried to force himself on poor little Jenny Humphrey!

The main struggle for Chuck throughout the series is admitting his love for Blair, it is pretty obvious pretty early on in the series, but neither of them admit it for a while nor does it work out for them quite as well as it should have!

There are two times that have really stood out to me that Chuck does really have a heart and isn't what he acts as. The first one is, after not being able to feel any emotion for a while, when Chuck is lying on his bed and breaks down in tears after Blair tells him she's pregnant with Louis' baby because he realises that he is losing her. The other time is when he pays her dowry to get her out of her marriage to Louis, even though she was more into Dan at this time, he paid it so she would be happy and not stuck in a hateful marriage.

Blair Waldorf
Blair started the show as the Queen B of her school, the one that everyone looked up to and was afraid of. She is known for her schemes that insure that she always gets her own way but also is known for her dislike for Jenny Humphrey, which seems to be a recurring storyline. She has a very loving relationship with her housekeeper/maid Dorota, who is sort of like a big sister to her and is super protective of her which is always fun to watch.

One of her most well known storylines is her relationship with Chuck, which for a while didn't happen when she was engaged/married to Prince Louis of Monaco, they met in France and he seemed perfect. Until the moment they got married, after he found out she still loves Chuck, as he tells her 'our marriage is just for show, and not over until I say' which was honestly just so heartbreaking to watch, she gave up everything to marry the man she thought she loved and it turned drastically bad on her!

Blair has had many memorable quotes which have at times been hilarious and honestly pretty down to the point! My favourite two are: 'oh my god, I was bitch slapped by Bridget Jones' and 'Bart Bass may be able to fool the FBI, but he has never been up against Blair Waldorf and her bitches'

Ivy Dickens
When Ivy came to the show she was being called Charlie Rhodes, because Lily's sister hired Ivy (the actress) to play Charlie so she could gain access to her daughters trust fund, and I honestly really liked her even though she wasn't who she was first said to be.

Ivy was a part of my all time favourite scene, after being a tad obsessed with Dan she finally got him to herself and just as they were going to have sex she says 'call me Serena' and I swear to god I almost choked, it made me laugh so much!

I don't see why everyone hated her, she may have pretended to be someone else, but all she ever wanted was to have a family that loved her. She also looked after Cece when she was dying, she didn't have to but she did!

Georgina Sparks
Georgina was definitely my favourite character out of everyone, she wasn't in it much but every second she was in it was pure gold!
She was a girl from Serena's bad girl past who comes back to haunt her! When Serena is dating Dan, Georgina pretends to be called Sarah and befriends Dan and threatens to tell him Serena's biggest secret. The one time she was actually kind of horrible, and not in a fun way, was when she outed Eric to Lily and Serena.

After one of Blair's schemes exhiled Georgina out of the city, she comes back as a Jesus loving Christian, much different from the previous Georgina! This is also when one of the most iconic lines is said, after being involved in one of Blair's schemes she changes back to who she once was with the line 'you can tell Jesus that the bitch is back'.

Georgina then starts NYU with Dan, Blair and Vanessa. She has a thing with Dan, but kind of gets too attached to him..which isn't what he wanted so he ends it! After a while Georgina is back with a huge baby bump telling Dan he is the father! It is later revealed that Dan isn't actually the father and she leaves with the baby.

Once Dan takes down the GG site Georgina takes it over, and she was such a good replacement! She was always such a perfect suspect for Gossip Girl and she proved how well she could do, even if she couldn't do it for that long!
She is then back for the whole of season 6, which I loved, to help Dan write his next book, which was an all out exposé of his friends!

Jenny Humphrey
Jenny had the greatest character development of this show, which is shown in this photo! She went from girly girl to gothic girl.

I think her change was one of the things most focused on in the show as well as her rivalry with Blair. I always wanted her to be with Nate as he was always the one to come to her rescue.
When she was working with Eleanor, she became friends with Anges, who I never liked, they decided to try and make their own clothing range. After it didn't go as planned Agnes set all of Jenny's designs alight. A while after, they met again and Anges acted like they were friends, that's until she drugged her and just left her at some random bar. She ended up leaving New York after sleeping with Chuck and having Blair hate her more than ever, and was only back for Dan and Serena's wedding.

Gossip Girl definitely had one of the greatest finales, so it deserves its own little section in this post!

So I watched GG on Netflix (so I don't know if this was aired with the original showing) but there was this little intro, that had the cast and crew talking about the show and included flashbacks, which honestly made me tear up a little..it was just so touching to see this!

I'm not going to post like everything that happened, just the most interesting parts!
This episode starts with Chuck and Bart having an argument which leaves Bart hanging off the edge of the roof, and without even trying to help (totally agree with what they done) Chuck and Blair just let him fall! Like I totally loved this, I've always hated Bart...and he definitely got the ending he deserved.

Now Chuck and Blair are on the run because they're pretty big suspects, obviously they have good reason to be, but there is always time for a proposal when you're on the run from the police...like this was just the best!

Dan is then seen telling Serena about why he started Gossip Girl, which had a flashback of him at one of Blair's parties (which he was accidently invited to) and is where he saw Serena, and they had their first conversation. This party is where he entered their world and he never wanted to leave, so that is where Gossip Girl was born.

Now Jack Bass and Georgina Sparks are trying to round everyone up for Chuck and Blair's wedding, once everyone is together they come up with a plan to get them married before the police find them.
In the mean time two girls have seen what has gone on so they decide to send it in to Gossip Girl, Nate then overhears them wondering why GG hadn't posted anything yet, which I think is when he realises GG is one of his friends.

Chuck and Blair then get married in the cutest way possible when being on the run from the police, who eventually find them but as they are married they cannot be charged with anything.
Dan gives the final chapter of his book, the tell all about Gossip Girl, to Nate to publish in his newspaper...you then see the reactions from loads of people, from celebrities to past characters which I think was great to see what everyone thought!

It then skips 5 years where you see a little of what has happened to everyone. Chuck and Blair have had a son called Henry and it looks like Dorota is now working for them. Eric and Jenny are back for Dan and Serena's wedding which is happening at that moment. Then the greatest couple is born Georgina Sparks and Jack Bass, they are an equal pair of evil and I love it!

I am just completely in love with Gossip Girl, I am so so happy I watched it! I haven't read the books yet..but I shall definitely be getting round to because this storyline is fab.

none of the pictures are mine...I just got them off google.

my birthday

hey!

It was my 19th birthday on Friday (3rd July) and honestly it was pretty amazing!

I spent the day time with my friends in town shopping, which was great! I tried one of the new Starbucks frappuccino's, the lemon vanilla one and I swear it was the greatest thing I have ever tasted!

Then in the night we went clubbing, which I barely ever get to go anymore because of the hours I work..but it was definitely such a great night, my bestfriend and I love the same music which makes everything better!

If I'm honest it's been quite a good birthday...not the best (that was my 14th when I saw Nick Jonas in Les Mis...nothing can top that, unless I actually meet Nick then that would be the best birthday!!)

Also there is no new Pretty Little Liars this week (I'm crying internally) so I shall finally post my Gossip Girl post!

She's No Angel

eeek so it's the fifth week of my week by week recap of Pretty Little Liars, and we are half way through the episodes leading up to the A reveal!

This week starts off with Spencer walking down a corridor which you can tell by looking at it is that is in a place that is old and abandoned.
Then behind her you see a creepy possessed looking young girl (played by Maddie Ziegler..who done an amazing job!) she then does a very creepy dance, which to me I think is somehow telling the story of Charles (as this place is Radley) but what I really liked is that it kind of linked to Spencer waking up in the dollhouse covered in blood.
Spencer then stops seeing the girl and instead finds a pair of sandals/shoes with 'C.Dilaurentis' on, you see a shadow behind her but when she turns around you don't see who it was as it was only a dream!

Aria and Spencer are on the phone, Spencer is trying to get information on the dollhouse which you can tell Aria doesn't want to talk about as she keeps cutting her off...although we don't know everything that went on in the dollhouse it has definitely had the worst effect on Aria! Spencer is obviously getting stressed out at the fact Aria won't talk, which is why she starts eating her weed cookie!
Then we get a Mona and Hanna scene, yay for Mona being back! You can tell how much the dollhouse has effected her, she just looked so fragile and constantly on edge (well done Janel Parrish..A* acting skills), she talks about how scared she is of Ali as she sent her to jail for months...but she soon turned into the old sassy Mona when Hanna mentioned Ali goes to church.
We then get a scene with Ali lying on her sofa, in the background she can hear the police that are meant to be guarding her saying stuff calling her a skank and asking 'who's protecting us from her' which is honestly so sad...like from the beginning Ali has been a character that has acted way above her age, but really she is a 17/18 year old girl who has literally been through hell, and not even her home is safe!

Then there is a scene with Emily and Sara and to me it seems as if Sara's mum is a drunk, as when she was on the phone she was like 'I can't talk to you when you're like this' 'yes you are, you're slurring your words' which seems like the most obvious reason.
I love how much Sara has changed and grown in the past few episodes, when we first met her she was so fragile and scared to move in the dollhouse, but now she seems to be opening up more.
Now I am really loving the friendship between Emily and Sara, I know there are rumours she is meant to be a romantic interest for Emily..but I think that might be rushing into it a bit, but for now I just love their friendship!
I am also loving the friendship between Clark and Aria, I know he's only been in two episodes, but I think he could be a reason she is trying to open up more and the fact he is helping her with her photography and telling her about a contest, and obviously I am Ezria shipper so I don't want this to go beyond a friendship!
Ali is then standing on her porch drinking, looking so broken when her dad comes out..he is seems so angry like all the time and he was pretty much moaning that she was outside. The best moment was when he was like 'bad behaviour has a way of catching up with you' and she replied with 'you would know' like it was seriously the greatest moment..I just love when the old Ali's sass comes back!!

Mona and Hanna are then at the Brew, you can just tell how self conscious Mona is standing there with everything staring at the girl that was meant to be dead. Then over comes Lesli Stone who is crazy as hell! Like she was just snapping at Mona and Hanna because she went on along with the story that Mona was dead...but nobody asked her to??? and then she calls Hanna 'a bag of hair' like what? I think that is the craziest insult I have ever heard in my life, like what is it even meant to mean?!
Spencer and Hanna are then at school and Spencer is sexting Toby (she's definitely high!) and then Hanna tries to eat a bit of her weed cookie...then suspects she's on drugs, but Spencer basically shuts her down!
Clark and Aria are then at a junk yard, I think it was a little weird him just taking photos of her..considering they really haven't known each other that long! Then he asks her out and I was thinking 'nope sorry she has Ezra...they're endgame' but she turns him down because obviously her life is too crazy to date, and he tells her he understands because he recognised her from the news, which I think is cute because he treated her just like anyone else and not someone who had just been locked underground for a month.

Lorenzo and Ali are then in her living room talking about the football thing? When Ali's dad comes in, I think it was slightly rude chucking him out, like he hadn't done anything wrong (yet).
Caleb, Emily and Sara are trying to sort out Sara's emancipation when I noticed something weird..Sara said she ran away and then got taken to the dollhouse, but Emily said she was 14 when she ran away and we know she had been in the dollhouse for 2 years which would make her like 16? But then Caleb says she is 18 in a couple of months? why doesn't the age work out? Is this a storyline thing or just a writing error?!
Aria at the junk yard, sees A and still thinks it's a good idea to run after?! Clark was cute when he came running in after he heard the big crash when the big thing fell.
Spencer turning up to an AA meeting with the munchies and just eating the food, but her face was hilarious when she realised Dean (her old sobriety coach) was sat in front of her!
Aria must have amazing eye sight because she spotted A on the negatives!
Caleb was A* for giving Sara a job, don't you just love him?! (Which would be amazing if he was A because everybody loves him!)

Hanna and Lesli are then in the Brew, Hanna sticking up for Mona which is the best! (Seriously tho this is true friendship, Hanna was sent to jail because she was thought to be apart of Mona's 'murder' and even though Mona faked it all, as soon as she saw her in the dollhouse she didn't care that she faked it, she was just so happy her bestfriend was actually alive!
Aria then steals Clarks negatives....gosh I can just see this coming back to haunt her!! (rule number 2 of Rosewood, never do anything that A can taunt you with!)
The friendship between Spencer and Dean is something I like too, the fact she actually has someone to talk to about drugs that has been through it, and wouldn't judge her! The fact she gave him her weed cookie to throw away shows she is greater than what she thinks she is!
Spencer and Mona then see each other for the first time since leaving the dollhouse (everyone loved the fact they were hugging for the longest time until Toby showed up, but the smile on Mona's face when Toby and Spencer were reunited was everything!) Mona leaving Ali a letter was cute! Spencer thinking she had killed the little girl she saw in her dream was so sad, like imagine not being able to tell if you killed someone or not?! Mona definitely knew about the room in Spencer's dream...which we know is in Radley...maybe something bad happens there!

Sara then decides she wants to get a tattoo to celebrate the first step of her emancipation...like really?! Is she old enough? Does she have money?
Hanna and Spencer are then at Radley, Spencer sees a poster with the little girl from her dream on, who is she?! Why was Spencer seeing her looking really creepy? Like the complete opposite from what she looked like on the poster!
She then finds the room from her dream, this time it is filled up with stuff!
Emily then decides to get a tattoo...I just, doesn't Rosewood have laws?!
Spencer and Hanna find Charles' file, and decide he is dead because he donated organs...but ding ding that doesn't add up...someone who overdosed wouldn't be able to donate organs right?
Hanna then finds a 'knee cap' in a bath filled up with black liquid...and her reaction was the greatest! Spencer then fishes it out to see what it is, when a head comes out of the water which Hanna screams so loud at...but turns out it was just a CPR doll.

Aria is then looking at the negatives with a zoomed lense...and A is a girl??????
Ali and Lorenzo then start kissing which yeah I didn't not like...I just don't ship them at all! (Most people moan about their ages, which honestly who cares? She almost 18..it's not that big of a deal) I just think they're really rushed and don't have that much chemistry! I was so feeling Ali's dads anger when he came home and found them...like no they just don't work...
Sara then sees the picture message Aria send Emily of A, and you can tell she is just totally freaked out! Sara then tells Emily she has seen this A before, wearing the black hoodie, she is so scared she decided to run off...which is never a good idea! When Emily finds her and they have spoken a shadow appears on the wall which looks a lot like A!

Spencer and Hanna are still in Radley and can now hear noises...which lead them to Mona! She is trying to leave with a file, which Hanna assumes is Mona's but it is actually Lesli's!
Ali is trying to get to Hanna's to look at the photo of A, and seriously the Dilaurentis' have so much sass..like her dad was like 'will Lorenzo be there to comfort her too' like he is so funny at times!
Lesli shared a room with Bethany Young, somehow this is all adding up...not sure how but it is!
Mona then phones Lesli to tell her that everyone knows...Lesli is beyond crazy!!! but I tell you what I noticed Lesli was sat in her car which looked a lot like where Emily and Sara had just ran away from...I don't think she's A but the writers are doing a pretty good job of making it look like it!

In the ending, A seems to be making new dolls as they're connecting pink stripes onto brown hair...which is so Aria! Is Aria an obsession of A's or their newest target? Knowing she's the most broken up?!
