Lost.

Hey!

I have just recently finished watching Lost and feel like I have to write a post on it because I have so many feelings about this show and I don't even know if they are good or bad, right now they are leaning more towards being disappointed.

I started this show with little knowledge on it; mostly being that plane crash survivors were stuck on an island. Which sounds like it could be a great plot for a show right? So I was always confused as to why I kept hearing bad reviews on it. When I was on the first episode I was told by my mum and my cousin not to carry on because it wasn't good...did I listen? of course not! Although I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode I was so annoyed with how the rest of the show turned out.

I did enjoy the range of characters. The main being Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hugo, Sayid, Boone and Shannon. I should've known that this show was going to be a big mess as soon as they killed off Boone and Shannon quite early on. There were many random crazy story lines that most of the time made no sense and strayed the show far from what it originally was, which to me was the most annoying part because I was confused a lot of the time. The main thing that started to confuse me was how everyone on the island seem to somehow be connected, like how could Jack and Claire go from being strangers to finding out they were siblings?!

The whole of season 6 was a mystery to me. I had pretty much given up with the show by then and was just watching it to get through it as I was so close to the end. The whole 'alternate reality' thing going on definitely made no sense and I feel like there wasn't much explanation to it, so I was watching them living on the island while they were living off the island...like what? The whole remembering part of the alternate reality didn't make much sense to me but it did make me extremely happy and I cried a little bit. Seeing everybody who was on the island, whether they died or not remembering each other was kind of a weird but cool thing to watch. My favourites were definitely Shannon & Sayid and Claire & Charlie, they both did not get enough time on the island together so seeing Charlie and Shannon 'alive' again seriously made me happy.

The church scene....how do I even comprehend what happened there? Jack's dead dad tells him everyone's dead, but they didn't die at the same time and that they created the church as a way to see each other...like WHAT? What year was this scene set in? Was the alternate reality really what their life was like if the plane hadn't crashed or was it like a post death dream? Did Kate, Claire and Sawyer make it off the island safely? Why do I not know the answers to these questions?

Overall I would not recommend this as a show to watch and enjoy because whether I enjoyed it was very questionable. I would however recommend it just for you to watch and make your own opinion on it, it isn't the best so don't have high expectations but it is kind of an experience. If you've watched it, I would love to hear you insights and opinions on it!

I hope you enjoyed this post and will come back for my next one.

Superdrug Haul!

Hey!

So today's post is going to be a Superdrug Haul! I only went in there for a concealer and ended up buying a lot more...isn't that the story of my life though?

The first thing I bought was this Revolution Retro Luxe Lip Kit in the shade Royal; I am obsessed with liquid lipstick's and especially deep purple colours. I haven't tried this out yet but am excited to do so as I need to find a more affordable liquid lipstick/liner combo as my current obsession with Kylie Cosmetics is leaving me super broke!

The next thing I bought were the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and Conditioner. I've heard a lot of good things about these so I thought I would try it out and it claims to give "72 hours of pure roots and hydrated ends". I've been using it every day since I bought it and my hair does look and feel clean but it definitely doesn't stay for 72 hours, my hair is always greasy the day after I wash it and I thought this could be a miracle product for me....unfortunately not!

I also bought the L'oreal Paris Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation in the shade Porcelain. I already have this in the shade Vanilla but that is a little too dark for me and this one is too light. I have such a weird skin tone that I just buy different foundations and mix them together.

I also bought this Batiste 2 in 1 Invisible Dry Shampoo & Conditioner. I am in love with the Batiste original Dry Shampoo and was looking forward to this! I've only tried it once but it didn't give me the results as a dry shampoo that I wanted but it did leave my hair super soft and silky. I shall use it more to get a better opinion.

I'm going to Iceland next week so I also bought this travel size Simple Moisturising Facial Wash as it is something that I will need and I hope that it works for me and doesn't send my skin into a break out. I love Simple products and am looking forward to using this.

I also bought the L'oreal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation in the Shade Natural Rose. This is a foundation I've bought to mix with a lighter colour, I've been mixing it with the other foundation in this haul and even though they are different formulas I'm loving the way they work together.

I bought this MUA Highlighter in the shade Iridescent Gold. You can never have too many highlighter's and I have this same one in a pink shade (I cannot find it to actually give you the name) and I really love the shimmer it gives.

I also re purchased the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I've used this many many times and it is so great and has amazing coverage for such an amazing price. I will forever re purchase this and you definitely should too!

The last thing I bought was this Barry M Flawless Mist & Fix Matte Finish Setting Spray. I some how managed to use up all of my setting sprays around the same time and came across this and thought it would be great to try and so far I am loving it!

Technically I didn't buy these as Superdrug were doing a 3 for 2 on make up and you get a free tote bag...I obviously bought enough to get two free tote bags which is always great.

The next two products weren't bought from Superdrug but I wanted to talk about them anyway!

I got this from Waterstones; I recently watched the Netflix original 13 Reasons Why and just had to go out and buy the book. I've only read a few pages of it but I'm loving it so much! I can already see differences from the show and I'm interested in reading on to see how much was changed for show as opposed to the book.

I got this from Sainsbury's; and have heard so many people raving about this. The one I've seen on Instagram the most is the pink bottle which is for sensitive skin and as much I would love to get a pink bottle, I need the green for my combination skin. It smells amazing, lathers really well and leaves my skin feeling so great!

I hope that you enjoyed this post and will come back for my next one!

Primark Haul!

Hey!

Today's post is going to be a Primark haul (which I'm sure you gathered from the title!) I literally only went in there for a swimsuit but got carried away and had to buy more! I'm sure we've all been there, who goes into Primark and just buys one thing???

The first thing I bought were these make up sponges, they were £1.50 and have two in the pack. I haven't tried them yet but I am looking forward to as I am always looking for different ways to apply my foundation to give me the perfect coverage.

The next thing I bought was this small oval blending brush, which was £2.50. I haven't tried this specific one but I already have the bigger size which I use for my foundation and it applies quite nicely so hopefully this will be great for applying under eye concealer.

I also bought this lounge wear top and trousers. The top was £5.00 and the trousers were £8.00. I bought them to use as pyjamas for when I go to Iceland as its going to be cold and I only ever wear a little top and shorts when I sleep. They feel super soft and comfortable and I cannot wait to wear them!

I also bought this cropped jumper (lets not talk about how hard I find it photographing jumpers) which I think is a taupe colour, even though the label said it was lilac? It was £7.00 and is my favourite thing, super comfortable and is so flattering to wear. They also had a green coloured one which I really want to go back and buy!

The swimsuit that was my whole reason for going to Primark! It was £4.00 which was SO amazing. It is full of flamingo's and I'm in love with it! I do feel a little uneasy wearing it as I haven't worn one in a very long time but I will be in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland which shall take all my worries away!

The last thing I bought was this denim pinafore dress which was £12.00. It is super cute and really easy to pair with anything which is great because you can get so many amazing outfits by just using this one staple product.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and will come back for my next one! Have you been to Primark recently? If so, did you get anything nice?

What's In My Bag?

Hey!

So I thought today I would do my own version of my favourite post/video which is a What's In My Bag? I am doing a very condensed version though because I'm such a messy person that the majority of what is in my bag is just old receipts and sweet wrappers (yes I know, I should probably throw them away) so you won't be seeing those!

My everyday handbag is this beige/taupe coloured bag from New Look, I was going to link it but it seems to be out of stock now. But I've managed to find 8 semi-interesting things floating around my bag that have some sort of reason for being in there.

The first thing I have in there is my work hi-vis and I weirdly carry this all the time even when I'm not at work...nothing really ever leaves my bag. It is just something that I have to wear for work but a lot of the time it is just sitting in my bag, not that interesting to be honest.

Next is my purse, It's from River Island and I got it on my 18th birthday (which was almost 3 years ago). I keep the usual in there; cards, driving license (well my provisional...I can't actually drive) and money when I have some. I also keep my door key and dentist/opticians appointment cards in here.

Next is my one true love. My Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mist in Pure Seduction, I cannot go out without literally spraying half the bottle over myself. It has such a strong sweet/fruity smell and is my all time favourite scent.

I have a random pair of gloves in there that I near enough never wear. I got them January 2016 when I was in Ireland and it was freezing cold but I never seem to get cold enough to wear them anymore although they may become useful when I go to Iceland in May.

I also have a 2017 diary which I only used for the start of the year before giving up with it but maybe I will carry on using it again. Its a really nice glittery silver and is pretty handy at times.

This one is really weird because I have been carrying around an empty glasses case. I wear contact lenses most of the time so obviously one day I took my glasses off and just left them somewhere in my bedroom. (since starting this post, my glasses have return to their case in my bag as I had to go to the opticians).

I have another spray thrown into my bag as I just hate to smell bad. This one is Charlie Enchant and is just a very light sweet refreshing scent that is perfect for when I don't want to over power with my Victoria's Secret Spray.

I also have a pen floating around in there because when don't you need a pen? I actually didn't realise it was in my bag until I started pulling things out for this post but definitely something I will start using!

I hope you enjoyed this post and having a little nose at what's in my bag. I also hope that you come back for my next one!

forever rambling

Hey!

I've been so uninspired/sort of not organised enough to post anything worthwhile (that isn't me just hyping over some TV show...still more of those posts to come tho) so I thought today I could just do a little chatty (ironic if you know me irl because I am far from that) post while I sort myself out and actually post something decent!

Not much is really going on in my life; if I'm not at work then I'm at home binge watching some TV show...like I am the epitome of fun! But I am going away to Ireland with family soon and then Iceland with my friend Laura which will be amazing! There shall definitely be an Iceland post coming, it is such a beautiful place and I cannot wait to photograph it!

I recently watched 13 Reasons Why and just fell in love. It is so deep and meaningful and I just latched onto it, I really want to re watch it but I don't know if I can handle all those emotions again! I want to write a post on it but it's deals with such sensitive subjects that I'm scared I'll say the wrong thing so I think I'll read the book before fully committing to that one!

The final 10 episodes of Pretty Little Liars start next week and I don't know how to feel, like one part of me is sad because I've been watching it so long I just don't want it to end, another is excited to actually see what happens but I also just don't want to see it because what if they ruin it???

I started a diet (really I just cut certain foods out and exercise more) at the start of the year and so far I've lost just over a stone, which isn't amazing considering we are already 4 months into this year but it's a start and can actually see myself sticking to it (it is also helping that people keep telling me I look like I've lost weight because to me I look no different!)

I have literally nothing planned for this week, I should probably take some blog photos and actually post something. Hopefully you'll have another post from me by the end of this week!

I hope this little chatty filler post was some what interesting and that you'll come back for my next post!

Looking For Something To Watch On Netflix?

Hey!

As some of you may know I'm some what of a TV addict, so I thought today's post could be me telling you my favourite things to watch on Netflix. There are many amazing shows and films to watch on Netflix but I've just picked my 10 favourite TV shows on there!

Gilmore Girls

The original series as well as the most recent 4 part sequel are on there. I have written blog posts on both which you can read here : Original Series & Sequel. I only started watching this recently but I'm utterly obsessed. I am both Lorelai and Rory at the same time, it is hilarious and relatable and such a lovely thing to watch. You will get hooked within every characters life but be totally in love by the end of it.

Scream

I really didn't know if I was going to like this as I wasn't a fan of horrors before watching it (still not the biggest fan although I have watched a lot more) but I saw the trailer and it seemed so interesting and my god I'm so happy I actually watched because it's so great! I hadn't seen the films before watching this but even after watching them I thought it was such a great take on the story and you just have to watch it!

How to Get Away with Murder

I literally recommend this to everybody! If you ever ask me what to watch then this is 100% my number 1, everything about it is amazing; the story lines, the actors, and the freaking plot twists! I can't find the words to honestly describe how much of a masterpiece this show is, I refuse to believe that people do not like it. But if you choose to watch at least one of these shows please let it be this one!

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

This started off as a Friday night guilty pleasure watch and soon turned into an obsession. It is a very odd show as it is a musical comedy so they break into song quite a lot, something that I questioned when first watching, but after embracing the music I became so wrapped up in the story. The first season was definitely the best, but the season 2 finale had an element of depth to it and gave answers to questions I didn't even know I needed answering which was amazing. It might not be everybody's cup of tea, but worth a shot right?

Life Unexpected

This was one of the first things I watched when I got Netflix and it gave me a whole new love for Britt Robertson and Shiri Appleby. It took me a while to get into but once I hit the end of season 1, I couldn't get enough. It dealt with so many serious subjects in such a great way and it was full of so many amazing friendships and family relationships whether they were functional or not, this show had everything and although I did love how it ended and how all the characters had grown, it definitely deserved way more than 2 seasons!

iZombie

Even I can admit this show sounds a little weird, former medical student turned zombie who solves crimes? weird but it strangely works. It's really funny with a little element of mystery to it. It's such an easy watch that you can really get obsessed with. Netflix made my day by adding it and will be adding episodes weekly when the new season starts which is always a plus!

13 Reasons Why

I am feeling so many emotions and there are so many words to use to describe this but when I try nothing seems to compare. It is based on the book of the same name, something I haven't read yet but definitely intend on. It was such a highly anticipated show which lived up to everything I had heard. It deals with many serious and sensitive subjects in such a brilliant way and I finished the show with a whole new outlook on life. I believe this is something everyone should watch, it shows you that you don't know what is happening in anybody's life other than your own. It is heartbreaking and can be rather graphic at times but was an amazing watch.

12 Monkeys

I originally watched this when it was on TV and was just utterly obsessed. It was such a unique concept and had amazing actors in. I fell in love with the story and the characters and just couldn't stop watching. I recently noticed it was added to Netflix and was so happy because that means more people can fall in love with it. There's only one season on there but there's a couple more seasons to be added which is great.

Pretty Little Liars

I have written many posts on this, the main being this. It is my all time favourite show and definitely a must watch for everybody! It has been such a huge part of my teenage life and the last 10 episodes start airing in April which I'm not ready for, like we finally get all the answers, but will they be what we want? If you haven't already started this then you really need to!

Reign

This is such a great show, I have been obsessed with historical monarchy for as long as I can remember so watching a show that centres around them is amazing. Learning about the life of Mary Queen of Scots has been so great, I often find myself googling to see how much of what is on screen is actually true and its so interesting. Adelaide Kane is such an amazing actress and it seriously is the greatest role for her. Definitely try this out because it is such a great watch!

I hope you enjoyed this post and come back for my next one! I'd love to hear if you have any suggestions for me to watch?

Mindy Kaling Is My Hero

Hey!

So almost two years ago I wrote a post moaning about Fox cancelling The Mindy Project after three seasons, and for that whole day I was super upset and just moping. Little did I know that Hulu were going to pick it up and not leave it on a massive cliffhanger. But fast forward to today; my dreaded day...The Mindy Project is ending after season six which is the season just about to start. Although I know getting to six seasons is amazing, like there is so much we wouldn't have got if Hulu had given it a second chance and I should be happy about that, but really I'm so sad!

When I first saw the trailer for The Mindy Project all those years ago I was instantly like "oh my god she is so me" and just knew I had to watch it. Obviously I fell completely in love with it and all the characters, it would've been great if Gwen had been in the show longer, but the Danny and Mindy relationship is definitely one of my favourite parts of the show...I remember their first kiss on the plane, I literally cried (yes yes I know I'm a loser).

The best thing about The Mindy Project is the fact it brought my attention to Mindy Kaling. She is an amazing actress, comedian and writer. I've read both of her books and they are amazingly hilarious but also insightful. I loved learning about her life growing up and how she came to work on The Office, which is why I started watching it and it's so great! I love how she's now breaking into film's because it means I get to watch her in something else. I love all the cast of The Mindy Project and hope after the show is done they continue to be in TV shows and films.

I hope you enjoyed this post and come back for my next one! I hope that you also watch The Mindy Project as it's great and read Mindy Kaling's books they too are great!
